MICROTOME IN CUTTING POSITION
|
The Webb Microtome is designed:
- To be ethanol resistant and autoclavable.
- To section fresh and fixed animal and plant tissue.
- To use one half of a double-edged razor blade.
- To cut thick sections >100 microns of most fresh or fixed tissues.
- To cut thin sections <50 microns of firm fresh or fixed tissues.
- To be particularly useful for acquiring fresh tissue sections for cell culture.
- To produce sections for low power microscopy.
- To obtain primary data of raw live tissues without any pre-processing procedures.
- To produce live sectioned materials for physiological experiments.
- To be used in a culture hood, on the bench or in the field.
